When we spoke to small businesses, many said that the reason they hadn’t switched their water supplier yet was because they didn’t have enough information about switching, or they thought it would be too complicated.

We want every business to use their power to choose their water supplier, so we’re determined to demystify the switching process.

Here’s our simple guide to switching:

  1. Find a water supplier that’s right for your business

Write down a list of features or services you’re looking for in your water retailer, from excellent customer service to help with water efficiency. Then look through Open Water’s list of to find one that meets your needs.

  1. Get a quote

Once you’ve chosen a supplier you think is right for you, to ensure the price is right too! You’ll need to have your Supply Point Identification (SPID) number to hand – you should find it on your latest water bill.

  1. Sign up

When you choose to switch to SES Business Water, you just need to sign an agreement and we’ll take it from there. We’ll contact your existing supplier to let them know you’re moving and get you set up on our systems – this can take up to three weeks, but we’ll handle it all for you.

  1. Enjoy the benefits

Switching can bring lots of benefits, so once you’ve made the switch, you should make sure that you’re making the most of the services your new supplier can provide. Find out how to take advantage of its customers here.
