BW Modern Slavery Statement
SES Business Water, a trading name of Sutton and East Surrey Water Services Ltd (2446416), fully supports objectives to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking, where the business will meet its legal obligation as well as acting in line with Company values and ethics. SES Business Water also recognises the need to be vigilant and committed to driving out potential acts of modern day slavery from our supply chain. The business has a responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to ensure transparency in the provision of all our goods and services.
SES Business Water will ensure:
- There are no acts of Modern Day Slavery within our business, where employees are not subject to any form of forced, compulsory or bonded labour
- Provide clear and consistent information to our employees surrounding their terms and conditions, including rates of pay, calculation of deductions and any entitlements
- Hold an active Modern Slavery statement, which will be reviewed yearly, which will be made available on request or via the Company website
To make certain that slavery does not take place in our supply chain and as part of our due diligence we will ensure that our:
- A risk-based Supplier assurance process is established, implemented, monitored and reviewed.
- The assurance process requires suppliers to outline the controls they have in place, confirming that a documented policy to ensure that neither slavery nor human trafficking takes place within the organisation.
- Senior Managers monitor our processes to provide appropriate levels of control over new suppliers.
The Company takes all reasonable courses of action to ensure employees are not subject to any form of forced, compulsory or bonded labour in our supply chains. Employees should have freedom to terminate their employment at any time without penalty, giving reasonable notice. All our employees are treated fairly and equally. Salary payments are made directly to employees and will not be delayed, deferred or withheld unless either authorised in law or in full agreement of the employee.
SES Business Water does not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking and holds a zero-tolerance position over threats of violence in any form, harassment or intimidation towards employees, whether directly or indirectly.
The Senior Management team have responsibility for implementing this statement and its objectives. They ensure adequate resources (training and administration etc.) and investment to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our organisation or within our supply chains.
This policy statement will be reviewed annually.
